Preposition adalah kata yang dikombinasikan dengan noun atau pronoun, membentuk phrase (frasa) yang menerangkan verb, noun, atau adjective. Preposition adalah salah satu dari 8 part of speech dalam Bahasa Inggris. Kata ini menunjukkan hubungan antara object of preposition dengan elemen kata lain di dalam suatu kalimat. Objek of preposition dapat berupa noun, pronoun, gerund, atau noun clause.
